Repair Bathtub Joints
Friends, today it’s time to review the bathroom. We already saw how to replace the silicone of the kitchen counter top and that if we were to take a little longer, it would have been necessary to replace the entire counter top because the humidity would have deteriorated irreparably.
Apply White Cement
The bathroom does not deserve less attention: in its day I milked all the tiles, sanitary and bathtub joints with white cement. Still, I put white silicone to improve the waterproofing, especially in the tub and sink bones… I have already replaced the silicone gasket several times, and it is time to change it again.
A Real Bathroom
First of all, I have to say that this is not a Bricomania program: it is a real bathroom, in use. And the most normal thing in the world is to see areas where under the silicone appears mold, dirt. It is not very elegant in the photos, but it is precisely what you will find in your home.

To do this, I use a spatula and a pair of model blades, which come to me phenomenally to remove the silicone in the thinnest joints and in places where the silicone is so small that it is almost invisible.
Removing the old silicone is laborious and cumbersome work. I recommend that you take it easy and help someone. If not, play some relaxing music and get ready to work a good time.
In our case, we see that in many places, the white cement has given way and the water can penetrate correctly. It is particularly important the area that makes poyete at one end of the bathtub.
