FAQs

How much money will be save with resurfacing vs. replacing my bathtub?

If you do not want to remodel the entire bathroom, re-glazing a porcelain tub or resurfacing a fiberglass tub is the most cost-effective choice. Replacing a tub can easily cost more than $3000, while resurfacing is often less than 1/3 of that cost. The cost of a new tub may only be $300, but there will be additional costs with removal of the old tub, replacing caulk, tile and drywall, plus the expense of putting the old tub into a landfill.

How long does the bathtub refinishing process normally take?

When a bathtub is re-glazed or resurfaced, the process is completed in a single day. The bathtub will be ready for use the next morning. Learn more about the bathtub refinishing process here.

How long does it take to get my kitchen cabinets painted?

When kitchen cabinets are painted, the process has a duration of about 5 days. We’ll be removing the cabinet doors and taking them to our shop for painting. While those the fronts of the cabinets are being painted, we’ll mask and paint the kitchen cabinets, and then return in a day or two with the doors. You’ll be able to use your kitchen cabinets the same day that we place the doors back on.

Once my bathtub has been resurfaced, how do I care for it?

All reglazed surfaces should be cleaned with a non-abrasive mild cleanser. Oftentimes, ordinary dishwashing soap will suffice. The newly re-glazed surface will be completely smooth and your grout lines will be sealed, leaving a surface that is non-porous and resistant to mold, mildew and dirt. This surface will only require light cleaning with a mild detergent. Do not use harsh, abrasive products on the bathtub. No scrubbing or scouring is required.

Will my re-glazed and/or resurfaced bathtub look like it has been painted?
